It is Christmas Eve 2023, and Christmas Eve 2024, and Christmas Eve 2025 and all other picture perfect Christmas Eves that Nora will live in her lifetime unless something happens to irrevocably change her world. And something does. The arrival of an old friend catalyzes a chain reaction of events that reveal the secrets that fester under the facade of the Helmer family home.

I composed and designed for Carnegie Mellon School of Drama's 2023 production of A Doll's House. In doing so, I sought to explore what it means to escape abuse through an expressionistic lens. As Nora's traditional marriage breaks down, so too do the effects and music.

I was awarded a full grant from the Frank Ratchye-Further Fund that enabled me to purchase orchestral instrument libraries, a granular synthesizer, and a randomizer to deconstruct - and, eventually, reconstruct - Nora's theme as she discovers who she is.
